Mrs. Saroj Rakyan is the Chairperson of Swanchetan and prior to that has been a counsellor at Sanjeevani for 18 years. She mentors Swanchetan in the financial and administrative running.

                                       Mrs. Vatsala Sivasubramanian Co-Chairperson of Swanchetan is a counselor who has worked for more than 30 years with different vulnerable groups undergoing a crisis. She has taught, coached and trained a whole generation of mental health workers dealing with crisis and trauma situations. She holds a post-graduate degree in psychiatric social work and is one of the founder members of Swanchetan. She has a guiding role in Swanchetan becoming a mental health organization working with grass roots issues. She assists in program implementation and supervision of staff handling complex cases.

                                       Dr. Rajat Mitra, Director, Swanchetan is a PhD in clinical psychology and is one of the founder members of the organization. His area of interest and specialization are in working with people undergoing crisis and trauma in the community, especially those coming from poor, deprived and disadvantaged families and providing them psychological help. He is working with children from these backgrounds raising their awareness and also directing efforts to working with the girl child to help them cope with abuse, violence and trauma in dangerous neighborhoods. He also trains the law enforcement, human right workers and professionals in mental health nationally and internationally.
