The
Honorable President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Azad,
met the staff of Swanchetan in his office to acknowledge the efforts being made
by Swanchetan in the field of victimology and helping the victim’s cause.
He also stated that care for the victims and their well-being should form the
core of the criminal justice system.
Swanchetan’s
Director, Dr. Rajat Mitra, has been awarded the
prestigious Ashoka Fellowship for International Social Entrepreneur Award, in
recognition of the work carried out by Swanchetan not only in India, but also
in other countries.
